Cashman was contracted by USACE, Jacksonville District, to perform maintenance dredging of the Port Sutton Channel, Port Sutton Turning basin & Gadsden Point, all of which consisted of a base plus four options.

All dredge work was executed seaward of the Skyway Bridge and up through Port of Sutton, covering 25 nautical miles.

During this project, Cashman effectively conducted monitoring of environmental species, turbidity monitoring, bird deterrence within DMPF 3-D & operation, and maintenance at the direction of the contracting officer.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Atchafalaya TSHD successfully removed approximately 840,500 CY of maintenance material from the federal channels. – A total of 377 loads of material were dug on this project. – All work met or exceeded the project-specific environmental constraints.
