Quonset West Channel & Port of Davisville 2021

Cashman was contracted by Quonset Development Corporation for Maintenance and Improvement dredging of the material from the West Quonset Channel & Port of Davisville. Additionally, Cashman completed 30,000sqft of rock treatment by drilling and blasting. 

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS 

Cashman’s newest drill barge M.J. Verrochi was used for the first time. 

Over 250,000 cubic yards (CY) of material was removed. 

All dredged material was disposed of at Rhode Island Sound Disposal Site. 

The Dale Pyatt was the only Dredge used on the job and was accompanied by numerous scows; MERC Shevlin, Kurt Shulte, Mighty Quinn, Joe Verrochi & Eddie Carroll.
