In 2010, Cashman was contracted by the Army Corps to remove ~200,000 yd^3 of dredged material from the Norwalk River. The project required the use of both clamshell and excavator dredges outfitted with environmental buckets. In addition, three bottom-dumping scows were used to dispose of the clean material at the Long Island Sound disposal site. Some of the clean material was used for capping other offshore disposal sites. Channel and anchorage areas were dredged to depths ranging from -6 feet to -12 feet.
